The Two Ways People Book You
NextAvailableSlot has two booking systems, and knowing which one you are in explains almost everything else. Appointments are booked from an event type. Sessions are paid for with pack credits.
Details
- Appointments (meetings): anyone picks an open slot on an event type's booking page, the embedded widget, or your availability page. Nothing is deducted from anything.
- Sessions: a client buys a plan, which gives them a pack of credits, and each booking spends one. They are the lessons, classes or training slots your plan covers.
- Both end up on the same calendar, sync to Google or Outlook the same way, and generate the same meeting links.
- Since plans now declare which event type their sessions are booked as, a session has a shape — a length, a page and its own scheduling rules — exactly like an appointment does.
Good to know
- Only payouts to professionals and pack credits distinguish the two in reporting. Appointments do not consume credits, and sessions are never freely bookable.
