Creating & Customising an Event Type
Open Settings → Event Types and add one. Everything except the name and duration is optional, and anything left unset falls back to your business-level setting.
Step by step
- Give it a Name (e.g. Discovery Call) and a Duration in minutes.
- Set the Link — the slug its booking page lives at. Some words are reserved because they already point at other pages on your site; the form will tell you.
- Optionally write a Header (the page title, defaults to the name), a Tagline and a Description.
- Set a Location, an accent colour, a hero image and the text on the confirm button — 'Book a call' reads better than 'Confirm booking' on some pages.
- Set any per-event scheduling rules you want to differ from the business defaults, then save.
Details
- Per-event scheduling rules: availability windows, buffers before and after, minimum notice, maximum horizon and a per-day cap.
- Only deliberate overrides are stored. Leave a rule blank and the event type follows the business setting, so changing the business default later moves them all.
