Reading the Payroll Statement

The payroll statement groups classes under each professional and closes with balance figures. Here is what each row means.

Details

  • Balance Forwarded: unpaid earnings from classes completed before the period you selected.
  • Individual rows: one per class, showing the time, length, class name, client, and attendance.
  • Totals: hours taught, plus Balance Forwarded added to what the period itself earned.
  • Tutor Balance: total income minus payments recorded in the period — what you still owe.
  • Payments: payouts you recorded inside the period.

Good to know

  • Attendance reads Present, Absent, or Unrecorded. An Unrecorded class earns nothing — it usually means attendance was never marked, or the class was rescheduled and not marked again.
  • The deductions rows are present for compatibility with existing statements but are not yet filled in; deductions are not tracked in NextAvailableSlot today.
  • Professionals with no classes in the period still appear, showing zero, so a payroll run lists everybody.
