Sessions Sold as an Event Type
Every plan declares what one of its sessions actually is, by pointing at an event type. Before this, a pack session had no shape of its own — its length came from whatever the professional's availability rule happened to be, and it had no page.
Details
- In the plan form, 'Sessions are booked as' lets you pick an existing event type or create one inline.
- Several plans sharing one event type is the normal case — a 4-pack and an 8-pack of the same class are one session sold twice.
- The event type decides the session's duration and applies its windows, buffers, minimum notice, horizon and per-day cap.
- Credits are scoped to what they were sold for: a pack bought for Piano Lesson pays for Piano Lesson sessions, not for something else.
Good to know
- Existing plans were given an event type automatically, one per business, named as a placeholder you are prompted to rename. Nobody's slots changed as a result.
- Re-pointing a plan at a different event type moves where its credits are redeemed. It is not a price change, so it does not open a new plan version — but it is recorded in the activity trail.
